About Us

Melbourne Vascular Diagnostics (MVD) is a non-invasive vascular laboratory located in the Epworth Hospital, Richmond, and Holmesglen Private Hospital, Moorabbin. Additional diagnostic services also operate once a month in Shepparton.

MVD provides comprehensive, non-invasive testing for inpatients and outpatients to assess the arteries and veins. Venous and arterial ultrasound is used to assist doctors in providing a suitable treatment plan where necessary.

All of our diagnostic tests are bulk-billed with no out-of-pocket expense to the patient, with the ability to have multiple tests booked on any one day. All patients must be referred either by a general physician or a specialist, and a report with an accompanying worksheet will be generated and sent to the referring physician promptly. 

If a serious condition is discovered during testing, our senior vascular technician will immediately consult with a vascular surgeon to take the appropriate course of action. For any questions regarding a vascular laboratory test, please call 03 9428 8346.
